Wanderlust Wednesday

When I was a child, my parents would take me on road trips. These trips were generally in New York state and would only last a day, but every now and then we'd spend a night in a hotel before heading home. I was also lucky enough to have grandparents who lived in Florida and had the opportunity twice as a child to visit them -- driving all the way to Florida and back.

Once in college, I went to South Carolina for a week. I stayed with my aunt in Maryland and had a vacation in Connecticut, my cousin was married in Minnesota and I drove there and back -- my first true introduction of how much the land of America can vary. I moved to Virginia where I've been living for the past few years and have been determined to spend any extra money and PTO on travel. While I dream of visiting Europe, it's a bit too financial of a burden right now and still, there's so much I want to see in America!

Wanderlust Wednesday is a monthly series where I babble about places I've visited and the things I've seen. It will be anything from a restaurant I've enjoyed a meal at to a national park I've fallen in love with.

Below is a list of previous Wanderlust Wednesday posts and a map displaying the states I've visited. If you have a location, restaurant, or experience you would like me to try, please shoot me an email at soonrememberedtales@gmail.com with the subject: Wanderlust Wednesday.
